Overview

Pisang peak lies roughly in between the giants’ Annapurna I and Manaslu both lying 8000m above the sea level.  Pisang Peak is considered as the simple climbing peak in Nepal. From the summit we can get panoramic perspectives of Mt. Manaslu 8163m, Mt. Annapurna II 7937m, Annapurna III 7555m, Annapurna IV 7525m, Gangapurna 7455m, Tilicho crest 7134m etc. Pisang Peak Climbing includes trekking in the acclaimed Annapurna locale and summiting Pisang Peak. Moreover, we will visit Muktinath and trek in the excellent Manang district of Nepal. On our way back we will follow the course that leads us to intersection Muktinath which is an essential journey site for Nepalese individuals. We cross Thorong La Pass which is the most noteworthy mountain pass on the planet to reach Muktinath. Our Pisang Peak schedule likewise incorporates the delightful Jomsom district which will be an advantageous ordeal. From Jomsom, we travel to Pokhara and drive to Kathmandu from that point, finishing our stunning peak climbing in Nepal. DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, one of our delegates will pick you up and escort you to your designated hotel. In the hotel, you will be briefed about the further plans of the trek.

Day 02: Rock climbing course in Kathmandu- 3 -4 hrs

Today, after breakfast we drive to Balaju (3 kms) for rock climbing practice, an ideal place for Rock Climbing in Kathmandu. You will be escorted by our climbing instructor during your rock climbing session and this is the time for you to learn more technique about climbing including introduction with the climbing gears and its uses.

Day 03: Drive to Beshishahar (830m/2,723ft) 6-7 hrs drive

This morning we will leave Kathmandu for our long trek to Annapurna. We will drive by local bus to Beshishahar through the scenic countryside and river view.

Day 04: Beshishahar to Bahundanda (1,310m/4,298ft) 5-6 hrs

Today, we will begin our walk from Beshishahar with fine view of Hiunchuli and peak 29 (Ngadi Chuli) and crossing some local wooden & bamboo bridges reaches at Bhulbhule. It then continues to Ngadi village for lunch & remaining walk continue passing through waterfall through the river bank before hiking uphill reaching to Bahundanda for overnight.

Day 05: Bahundanda to Chamje (1,410m/4,626ft) 5-6 hrs

After a breakfast the trek descends to Syange village crossing fields and local villages, approx of 2 hours short downhill walk & cross a long suspension bridge at Marshyangdi River to reach Syange. After here, our trek continues gradually uphill from the river and the last steep climb to get to Jagat for lunch stop. From here an hour further walk on rocky path & long scenic waterfall across the river finally brings you at Chamje for overnight stop.

Day 06: Chamje to Dharapani (1,960m/6,430ft) 5-6 hrs

From Chamje a short walk brings us to a suspension bridge over the raging Marshyangdi river, after crossing the bridge it’s another steep climb for another 2-3 hours till Tal, the village is situated on the gorge-valley by the side of the river Marshyangdi and decorated with beautiful waterfall & sandy spread river. Further trek follows the upstream up to the Dharapani, which is through the rocky trails and crossing few suspension bridges and small teashops bring you at quite large village at Dharapani for the overnight at hotel.

Day 07: Dharapani to Chame (2,710m/8,891ft) 6-7 hrs

Today, we will continue our trek further to Chame- a district head quarter of Manang District. From where changing the vegetation, people and the landscapes changes and the air will get cooler, the trail then climbs through pine forests to Bagarchhap, the first village on the trek with typical Tibetan architecture. After a pleasant walk to Bagarchhap, the altitude slowly gains as we come at Danaque and to the alpine region passing through farm, orchards and beautiful pine forest with views of towering peaks of Lamjung and Annapurna II, the trail follows the river Marshyangdi upstream passing by the villages of Latamanang and Koto before further half an hour brings you at Chame for overnight at the hotel. You would have a first impressive view of Annapurna II & Lamjung Himal from here.

Day 08: Chame to Pisang (3,700m/12,139ft) 5-6 hrs

The trails leads from the other side of the river on the northern bank passes through pine woods and small villages with few ups and downs till you reach the orchard village of Bhartang, a village of apple garden. Then, we continue on the gradual path up to a bridge, from the bridge a short steep climb through the pine forest brings you at the top of the ridge of Dhukure Pokhari for the lunch. After walking out of the tree line, a great view of Pisang peak on the north and the Chulu peak can be seen with Pisang village. From this top a gentle descent of one hour brings you to windswept village of Pisang for overnight. Explore Pisang villages and its riverside and over night at lodge.

Day 09: Pisang to Upper Pisang (3,810 m/12,497ft) 1-2 hrs

This day we take a small hike up to Upper Pisang, takes only approx an hour and remaining time we you explore the monastery and acclimatize. Over night at Upper Pisang

Day 10: Upper Pisang to Base Camp (4,380 m/14,36ft) 3-4 hrs

Today, we prepare to hike up to Pisang Peak Base Camp. From Upper Pisang village, the path ascends through sparse wood and pasture to a Kharka at (4,380m) which is considered as the best place for setting up the base camp for overnight. It is in a flat alpine section along the well worn trail. We fix our camp site here. Over night at tented camp

Day 11: Base Camp to High Camp ( 5,400m/17,712ft) 3-4 hrs

We climb towards a shoulder on the south west ridge of Pisang Peak for 3 to 4 hours to reach high camp where we will set up our over-night camp at the altitude of 5400m. It is likely to have snow at high camp from end of Nov till end March. We will re-check our climbing gears and do the final preparation for Pisang Summit for the following day. Over night at tented camp

Day 12: Summit Pisang Peak (6,091m/19,980ft) & hike back to Upper Pisang (7-9 hrs)

Today is a day to fulfill your dream of Summit on Pisang Peak. From the High Camp, the well defined ridge leads to the final snow slop which is quite steep and more technical to reach the summit. Our Climbing guide will fixed the rope and lead you to the successful summit of the Pisang peak. After a Successful summit, return back to Base camp to Upper Pisang for overnight.

Day 13: Climbing Reserve Day

We use this as a reserve day in case if the weather gets bad or if any participant does need to prepare longer for any reason. It is essential to have this day as it is quite risk to try to summit to Island Peak while weather is not favoring us.

Day 14: Upper Pisang to Manang (3,500m/11,482ft) 4-5 hrs

Today we hike down to Pisang village and continue our hike toward to Manage valley. From here we take a gradual climp up for half an hour for reaching the top, stop at a ridge to get our first view of the Manang valley, This grand spot offers a spectacular views of the valleys, Humde village with its short air-strip and the great peaks of Gangapurna, Annapurna II, III, Tilicho and on the right Chulu east, on the back Pisang peak. The walk leads further to Humde and pleasant walk up to the Braga village for traditionally built up Tibetans style of houses and if can be visited the monastery, it has an outstanding display of statues, Thankas and the religious manuscripts. From here vegetation is changed, you will notice a contrast of landscape and vegetation & dry mountain hills. From Bhratang, half an hour walk reaches to Manang for the overnight.

Day 15: Acclimatization day at Manang (3,500m/11,482ft)

Today is full of rest for acclimatize and explore Manang. The village of about 500 flat-roofed houses is the picturesque set amongst some spectacular scenery -Annapurna II, Annapurna III (7,555 meters), Gangapurna (7,454 meters) to the South – Tilicho (7,132 meters) and the Grand Barrier to the West – Chulu West (6,583 meters) and Chulu East (6,059 meters) to the North. After explore and relaxing day at Manang, visit Himalayan Rescue Association and if needed go for movie show.

Day 16: Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m/13,484ft) 3-4 hrs

After a wonderful time at Manang, the trail leads to a slow climb up for an hour to the Tenki Manang for enclose view of the Annapurna, Gangapurna and Tilicho peak. The track gently winds up offering inspiring views and through terrains with juniper bushes as the only surviving vegetation around this region and will brings you at Yak-Kharka for the overnight.

Day 17: Yak Kharka to Throng Phedi (4,400m/14,432) 3-4 hrs

We start our trek with slow and own pace to get to Phedi. We still have same amazing view of mountains and landscapes. After an hour walk reaches at Ledar and continues to climb along the east bank of the Jorsang Khola, then descends and crosses the stream on a wooden bridge to get a small tea shop. We stop for wonderful view and tea breaks, we follows a narrow path across a high, unstable slope before heading to Thorong Phedi for the overnight.

Phedi – which means ‘foot of the hill’, is a common Nepali name for any settlement at the bottom of a long climb.

Day 18: Throng Phedi to Throng La (5,416m/17,765 ft) to Muktinath (3,800/12,467ft) 7-8 hrs

Today is longest and hardest day of the whole trip. We start our walk early in the morning with packed lunch and the trail becomes steepest initially and reaches at high camp. Walk on your own pace viewing with sunrise and glimpse of the mountains. We continuing walk to the top takes 3-4 hrs to the Throng top and with a great feeling of victory take a short breaks for picturesque scenery and down to the Mustang part of mountains and the Kaligandaki valley far below to the West. Finally, we made to Muktinath after 7-8 hrs long walk and overnight at lodge.

Day 19: Muktinath to Jomsom (2,570m/8,430ft) 5-6 hrs

Muktinath is a holy place of journey for Nepalese of both Buddhist and Hindu religion as these two religions are complicatedly woven together in Nepal. We visit the sanctuary in the morning and visit its neighborhood. We can appreciate the water gushes before visiting a Buddhist religious community adjacent. From Muktinath, we will head towards Jomsom. Stay overnight at Jomsom.

Day 20: Jomsom to Pokhara by Flight (15-25 minutes)

 

We take an early morning flight to Pokhara from Jomsom. The plane goes through a canyon amongst Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains making the flight itself an astounding knowledge. In the wake of touching base in Pokhara, the wonderful ‘Lake City’, we can spend whatever is left of the day in relaxation.

Day 21: Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft) 6-7 hrs drive

After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu which is around 6 hours drive or we additionally have an alternative to fly for 25 minutes at an additional cost.

Day 22: Departure from Kathmandu

After checking out of the hotel, our representative will take you to the international airport for your flight home. If you want to continue your stay in Nepal for short tours i.e. National parks, rafting, mountain biking, hiking, etc., please do let us know. We will be proudly serving your needs.
